On Thursday, 23 June, the International Conference on Cartography and GIS held this year's Commission on Maps and the Internet meeting in Nessebar, Bulgaria. The chairman of the Commission, Otakar Čerba, briefly presented the activities of the Commission in the past year and the possibilities of involvement in the work of the Commission in the coming months. This was followed by a webinar where František Zadražil from the Plan4all association presented Hub4Everybody - an open-source web-based system for processing, cartographic visualization and sharing spatial data.
The meeting was attended by about 30 people interested in maps and the Internet, including a Norwegian representative connected online. The event would not have been possible without the support of the conference organizers, Stefan Bonchev, vice-chair of the committee, and Karel Jedlicka, vice-chair of the Plan4all association.
